A Follow-Up
I had posted November 10, 2011 about the heraldic embroidery work of Willem van Osnabrugge and the project he was then working on for the Peace Palace in The Hague (http://blog.appletonstudios.com/2011/11/heraldry-in-news.html). I recently received an email from him, letting me know that his work there has been completed. And, I might add, his work looks very nice!
He also included a URL with a slideshow (near the bottom of the page) showing the steps he went through to do the arms of Austria-Hungary (as an example of the process for all of them).
You might want to drop by and see it. You can find it at: http://heraldry.eu.com/development.htm
And, of course, if you really like his work, drop him a line and say so.
